Peyoti is an international artist who has performed his original music extensively throughout Europe, but also north & south Americas, SE Asia and South Africa. He has appeared at festivals including Glastonbury (UK), Rockwave (Greece), Colours of Ostrava (Czech Republic) & Woodstock (Poland) to name but a few, with audiences numbering 20,000+ in many cases. His music has been played on Radio stations all across Europe, most notably BBC regional and national stations (UK). TV appearances also include: England and Eastern-Europe with a special appearance on national tv station RTV (Slovenia) during peak-viewing time. He has performed alongside or been billed with such prestigious artists as: Manu Chao (2007 UK national tour support), Iggy Pop, Buena Vista Social Club, Nigel Kennedy, Gogol Bordello and Portugal’s very own Mariza.
With his band, ‘Peyoti for President’ he’s received favourable 4 & 5 star reviews in music press and newspapers such as: The Independent (top recommended summer download), Rolling Stone Magazine (4 starts for debut album) and many more across Europe, especially UK and Germany.
More recently his original compositions have appeared on TV and film. Notably Netflix, Gentefied (TV series
2021), The Impact (feature length film 2022) and InterRail Documentary (2013).
He is a multi-gifted artist who has achieved recognition as a musician, performer, composer and producer. Peyoti is currently producing a new ‘Peyoti for President’ original music album from his studios in Monchique, Algarve collaborating with producer and multi-instrumentalist Marc Mennigmann. The songs for the album were written on the shores of Mexico & Portugal. The album’s release is tentatively penned for an early 2024 and will be a rich fusion of Mexican ‘gunslingers’ desert swagger in a dance / world-beat style that truly takes the listener on an exotic journey to the Mescaline fueled ‘Peyote-Cactus’ dreamland.
