My Shakti Dance classes consist of 8 phases with a constant musical presence adding an intentional vibration to slowly warm up our bodies, turn off our minds, and open up our souls! ?

The class begins with a tune in to the present, bringing ourselves to full awareness within ourselves and around us. We go into some gentle flowing asanas where we start to open up our chakras and warm up our physical bodies, then expand into some basic choreographed steps where we embody the elements and continue to dive deep into our bodies. We progress into an open dance and free flowing movement where we are fully within all of our bodies, surrendering to the flow, this is where so much of the magic happens, this is the moment that we’ve been building up towards, where we can practice truly letting go!! After some time we begin to come back to ourselves, we relax and rest in shavasana and then while we’re in this in-between place we preform a celestial communication (moving meditation) to connect with the collective consciousness to gain peace and insight to our lives. We finish with a silent meditation and then a closing of the space. ?

This class will help you connect with yourself and all of your bodies (physical, mental, spiritual, etc.) It brings balance into yourself, and an overall sense of lightness and wellbeing. Come join us and find out which is your favourite phase of the class? ?

Open to all ages, genders & levels! Please bring a yoga mat, blanket for relaxation and some drinking water with you ?
