JEFERSON DE MELLO – Pianist. Pianist Jeferson Mello studied piano with Noel Nascimento, with whom he graduated from the School of Music and Fine Arts of Paraná. Later, he studied with pianists Gilberto Tinetti and Elsa Guevara. In 2005, after receiving a scholarship from the Italian government, he attended the Master’s program in Accompaniment at the conservatories of Adria and Vicenza. There, he completed the course in the class of pianist Riccardo Mascia in September 2009. During his time in Italy, he also studied with important piano figures, such as Livio Cadè, Federica Righini, and Riccardo Zadra. He performed with the Symphony Orchestras of the School of Music and Fine Arts of Paraná and the Youth Orchestra of the State of São Paulo, giving a concert at the prestigious Sala São Paulo, where he performed L.V.Beethoven’s Third Concerto op 37 in C minor for piano and orchestra. In January 2009, he won third prize in the competition for piano accompanists at the Teatro San Carlino in Brescia, Italy. In Spain, he studied in the piano class of Alexander Vitlin, assistant to conductor Daniel Barenboim, at the Academy of Orchestral Studies of the Barenboim-Said Foundation in Seville. He was a piano teacher from 2015 to 2017 at EMBAP-UNESPAR. He performs extensively as a solo pianist and chamber musician, having already performed in various countries such as Brazil, Italy, Argentina, Portugal, and Spain. He is currently a full-time piano teacher at the Academies of Music of Portimão and Conservatório de Artes de Lagoa in Portugal, and he was the Artistic Director of the Piano Festival Cidade de Lagoa in 2021 and 2022. https://www.villavoxmusic.com
SVETLANA BAKUSHINA – Pianist, composer, and artistic director of the VilaNova Chamber Music Festival in Monchique. Originally from Siberia, she graduated from the Faculty of Arts of Novosibirsk with a Master’s in Music Education – Piano Pedagogy in 2001, and from the State Technical University of Novosibirsk with a Master’s in Cinematography in 2006. After moving to Portugal, she opened her own private piano studio. Bakushina’s soundtrack was featured in the official selection of the Cannes Film Festival, and she directed and performed in short fiction films while producing more than three hundred television commercials worldwide. Additionally, as an award-winning digital video art installation artist and photographer, she has participated in over a hundred exhibitions and has her work featured in the collections of the State Art Museum of Novosibirsk, the Museum of Fine Arts of Omsk, and numerous private collectors. Svetlana is involved in various musical projects, with regular performances, including an original repertoire Fusion Quartet, a six-handed Piano Trio, as well as solo performances of classical and original music on the piano and harpsichord. Her first solo album, “Sun and Frost,” was released in 2021.
