After my last post, someone who had been quietly watching from the sidelines reached out: Marcel van den Berg. This guy had a similar idea to mine when I first launched the site but chose not to create competition. Now, with the opportunity wide open, Marcel’s stepping in to take AlgarvEvents under his wing.
And trust me, he’s not just dusting it off. He’s bringing a new vision, with fresh ideas, and a drive to make it more interesting, more useful, and packed with all the Algarve events you’ve been craving. Marcel’s on a mission to make this platform everything it was meant to be and more. This is the rebirth – the next chapter.
But here’s the thing, folks: Marcel can’t do it all by himself. This isn’t just a passion project; it’s a chance to build something great for the community – but he needs YOU. Musicians, event organizers, venues – get involved! Create your free accounts, post your events, share the good stuff. If you want people to know about what’s happening in the Algarve, you’ve got to make it easy for them to find. No more hidden events on obscure WhatsApp groups or Facebook.
AlgarvEvents is back, and Marcel is ready to take it further than ever before. But to make it the #1 spot for everything happening in the Algarve, we need all hands on deck. Let’s help him make this project fly!
